Nigeria Fintech Week 2025 to Harmonize Innovation and Investment for a Digital Future

Africa’s largest fintech gathering, Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW25), is set to convene over 20,000 stakeholders—innovators, policymakers, investors, creators, and professionals—for its eighth edition from October 7-9, 2025. Hosted across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu with hybrid global participation, the event, themed “The Fintech Ecosystem Symphony: Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Future,” will showcase fintech’s transformative role across industries like healthcare, agriculture, entertainment, transport, and education.

Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun, Vice President of the Fintech Association of Nigeria (FinTechNGR), highlighted fintech’s evolution into a cornerstone of Nigeria’s economy. “From enabling micro-insurance for healthcare to powering transaction-based credit for smallholder farmers and boosting the creator economy with seamless payouts, fintech is the conductor of Nigeria’s economic orchestra,” she said. The event will feature over 20 thematic tracks tailored for diverse groups, including policymakers, startups, corporates, SMEs, and youth, ensuring a participant-driven experience.

Seun Folorunsho, Executive Secretary of the Planning Committee, emphasized the event’s collaborative vision. “NFW25 is where Nigeria’s digital future is co-created. We’re designing tracks to foster harmony among all ecosystem players,” he noted. Attendees will engage with high-level regulators, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, National Information Technology Development Agency, and National Identity Management Commission. The conference will also showcase live demos, innovation exhibits, and the reveal of the Most Interesting Fintech of the Year.

With Nigeria’s fintech sector attracting over $800 million in investments over the past decade, NFW25 aims to deepen financial inclusion and economic growth. Highlights include global networking opportunities, youth and SME capacity-building workshops, and industry performances, all aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation. Registration is free but competitive, with early sign-ups prioritized due to high demand. As Nigeria’s digital economy is projected to contribute significantly to GDP by 2030, NFW25 positions the nation as a global fintech leader, harmonizing technology and opportunity for a vibrant future.
